Guiding on Gabriola
Guiding on Gabriola needs volunteers Guiders for all ages. On Gabriola we have three active units Sparks/Brownies (ages 5-8), Guides (ages 9-11) and Pathfinders (ages 12-14):
As a volunteer Guider, you'll help girls:
• Experience fun adventures in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
• Learn the skills that will help them confidently navigate their world
• Discover they can achieve more than they ever imagined
• Make a difference in the world
Volunteering can be part time or full time.

Gabriola 4-H Club
Gabriola 4-H Club often needs volunteers. 4-H is a national youth organization for kids promoting knowledge, leadership, citizenship, and personal development. It's a lot of fun!
Volunteers guide kids in completing a 6-month project in agriculture (e.g., horse, goat, poultry, horticulture) or creative arts (e.g., photography, fibre arts). Leaders need not be experts, will work with other more experienced leaders, and are given lots of training opportunities.
Occasional volunteers are also needed to help with single events, like field trips or workshops.
