ANIMAL RESCUE
GROWLS (Gabriola Rescue of Wildlife Society)
A volunteer rescue organization with the mandate is to Rescue , Rehabilitate and Release wildlife who are ill, injured or abandoned.
Training and equipment will be provided to those who wish to be a hands-on rescuer, a dispatcher who answers the GROWLS Emergency number or a transporter who takes injured wildlife to rehabilitation centres on Vancouver Island.

Cats Alive
Cats Alive requires volunteers to:
Provide foster care for kittens or cats who will eventually be adopted to permanent homes.
Be part of a call out team to respond to requests for help for relinquished, abandoned or stray cats
Be part of the phone rotation to receive calls about cats in need of help from CATS ALIVE.
Sit at the CATS ALIVE table at the market at AGI Hall during the summer.
Research and writing for fundraising and the CATS ALIVE web site.
